Set your real budget

Shop with a checklist

Year, mileage, accident history, safety status, remaining warranty and how it was serviced. Don't fall in love with a colour before you know the history.

Test drive and inspect

Drive it cold, listen for noises, check the tires and brakes, and verify the safety inspection. I'll walk you through the inspection report line by line.

Red flags to avoid

The seller won't share a Carfax or inspection report.
The price is way below market with no explanation.
You feel pressured to buy before you've driven it.
The safety inspection is missing or expired.
